Dulwich College Quatercentennial Ball

10/05/19

Ernest Shackleton

To celebrate Dulwich College's 400th anniversary, the Quatercentennial Black and Blue Ball will pay homage to one of its many illustrious alumni, Sir Ernest Shackleton. We are privileged to provide our Altitude Gin for this prestigious occasion. Shackleton, the polar explorer, led three British expeditions to the Antarctic and during one he climbed Mount Erebus, the second highest volcano in Antarctica. Guests will arrive at The James Caird Hall, which houses the 23 foot whaler in which Shackleton made his celebrated voyage to Elephant Island, during the Antarctic winter of 1916. The evening will be a true recognition of adventure, triumph and summiting victory!
